Parvinder – Papakura

My name is Parvinder, also known as Simi. I am a  mother of two beautiful children. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and a certificate in Early childhood education. I have worked in child care centres in New Zealand and Australia.

I am passionate about working with children. By creating secure and nurturing attachment with the children, I help them enjoy, learn and grow. I strongly believe that children are happier and learn best in a safe and caring home environment, which I aim to provide.

I like to provide a balance of learning and playing time and also offer stimulating outings within the community such as playgroups and library. I have a routine that children find comforting and settle into very quickly. I like to encourage children to be independent but will always be there to help when needed.

I have worked in the childcare industry for 17 years and have been a mother for 25 years.
I love being with children because they remind me that life is full of simple pleasures. I feel uplifted by their innocence and joy. I love being able to share in their happiness and bring more smiles to their faces. Every single moment brings new excitement, and I celebrate these little moments as these brighten both of our lives.
Children will be provided with a wonderful place to grow, learn and enjoy themselves

Hello my name is Christine. I am of Indian decent born in Fiji, living in New Zealand since I was 10 years old. I’m a proud mum of an amazing four year old girl. I have a Teacher’s Aide background and also have a degree in Bachelor of Visual Arts from The University of Auckland. My passion for teaching and interacting with children has engaged me from volunteering and teaching in Primary schools to Early childhood centres. I have worked in the teaching field since 2010 and have helped children in all major subjects that fall under the New Zealand Curriculum.

I feel being a mother myself, taking care and nurturing children comes naturally to me. I am a honest, caring, reliable person and passionate about contributing to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of young children which I think can be achieved through play, reading, singing, drawing, painting and fun outdoor activities.  I feel a respectful environment is the key to a child’s wellbeing, successful relationships and for a fruitful development. It’s so rewarding for me to see children develop new skills and gain an appreciation of knowledge and learning.

Your little one will have access to varieties of indoor and outdoor equipment’s, always keeping them busy and happy! Since I have an artistic background I will be doing lots of arts and crafts with the children. Your child’s development will be documented through pictures and brief story telling so you will know what they have been up to!

I believe I have created a safe, inspiring and caring environment in our brand new home in Pukekohe, ready for your child to join us in our fully new equipped and exciting Day care that feels like home.  If you want your child to feel safe, loved and develop fine lifelong skills then I am the right person for you and your little one!

Sesilia- East Tamaki

My name is Sesilia Sanalio, and I am 26years of age. Yes I was born here and have lived here all my life but I also believe in remembering your roots, or where you came from. Both my parents are Tongan descendants and NZ was their getaway spot to help make a better future for my siblings and I. Growing up I learnt not only how to live the New Zealand way but also adapted with a bit of my Tongan culture. Yes, I speak both languages fluently and I do this in my everyday life.

I am currently on break with University studies, but have done two years of Primary Education studying and am left to do one more year to earn that Bachelor in Education degree. I have had past experiences with children ranging from ages 2 – 18, as I have already achieved Certificate L3 Youthwork and Certificate Level 4 pre teaching in ECE and Primary.

I enjoy music and performing arts, so creativity and the eye for colours is really my thing. I practice this and am capable of doing a little bit to help children build on their confidence level with communicating with others. I have a passion for children and what they have to offer in our world today and I believe I do have these qualities to help these little ones get through with that.

I have been given the opportunity to be the Educator for the Home2Grow based in East Tamaki. I am enjoying it and am looking forward to working with you and your children.
