Auckland Home Based Childcare and Education
We are a licensed, government funded childcare provider, dedicated to helping parents Auckland wide access affordable in home childcare and supporting educators in providing this.
Our educators can care for up to four children under five years old at one time, with up to two children under 2 years including their own children. In order to provide children with quality education, our educators follow Te Whariki, the New Zealand early childhood curriculum and are required to plan and document each child’s education and development. As part of this home based childcare they must also keep a daily diary for each child, documenting their day including aspects of care such as food and sleeps.
We believe that early childhood education and care sets a foundation for future learning and development. Therefore we believe the most important role of management is to support educators to reach their full potential and provide quality in home childcare. We achieve this by providing training and advice from our fully qualified programme coordinator who is available for contact and support 24/7.
Support is given with such things as planning as well as an opportunity to discuss any issues that may arise. In addition, at Home2Grow Childcare Ltd we provide educators with access to resources and services such as a toy library and professional development opportunities. We also encourage our educators to take advantage of resources available in the community, such as libraries, Playcentres and community events. Educators are either self-employed or employed by the parent depending on the type of educator they are. Home2Grow Childcare Ltd does not employ educators directly however we do offer contracts/paperwork and support for parents taking on the employment.
